How to work with hierarchies

In PIM, products can be arranged into diverse product hierarchies, providing a structured organization for your catalogue. These hierarchies can be as wide and deep as necessary, accommodating various levels of product categorization and relationships. A product can be associated with one or multiple nodes within a single hierarchy or across several hierarchies.

In this guide we will explore how to work with hierarchies in the PIM UI. Please refer to Understanding Bizzkit PIM and the other articles in the documentation for more comprehensive information.

Create hierarchies and nodes

Here is a step-by-step guide showing how to create a hierarchy and a few items.

Follow these steps:

1. Click on the Hierachies-tab
2. Click on the Create new-button
3. Enter a system name in capital letters
4. Enter a name
5. Click the Save-button
6. Click the View-button to view the hierarchy
7. To add a sub item to a item (including the root), hover the item name and click "+" icon
8. Add a system name in capital letters
9. Add a name
10. Select "Sub item" in the placement-dropdown list

Add multiple products to a hierarchy

Here is a step-by-step guide showing how to add a few products to an item in the hierarchy.

Follow these steps:

1. Find a product and navigate to the PDP (Product Details Page)
2. From the "Operations" dropdown list, select "Categories"
3. Choose a category in the dropdown list
4. Click the "Confirm" button.
5. Wait for the job to execute.
