SMTP servers have a new authentication method: None or Basic. On the SMTP server page, the "Authentication method" selector replaces the "Disable SSL" checkbox.
Updated endpoints
GET api/mail-providers/smtp-servers & GET api/mail-providers/smtp-servers/{id}
New property authentication with type (None or Basic) and basic (username and passwordIsSet).
POST api/mail-providers/smtp-servers & PUT api/mail-providers/smtp-servers/{id}
New optional property authentication with type and basic (username and password, and for PUT also changePassword).
When authentication is set, the deprecated properties are ignored.
Returns HTTP status code 400 when authentication.type is missing, when type is Basic and basic is missing, or when type is None and basic is set.
Enhancements
SMTP servers with disableSsl set to true (authentication method None) no longer keep a username and password. In V25 and V26, property username returns null and property passwordIsSet returns false for these servers.
