This week we released an updated dashboard in Bizzkit Ecommerce Search. The new dashboard includes a range of enhancements to both the UI and the underlying functionality.

Bizzkit Product Team Explains

The idea behind the dashboard and the new widgets is to help administrators quickly identify areas that can be optimized. The widgets provide an at-a-glance overview by calculating scores and presenting a summary. If needed, users can dive deeper into the data for further insights.

In this article, we explore the key features of the updated dashboard and how it benefits users.

New dashboard in Search

About the dashboard

The dashboard in Bizzkit Ecommerce Search provides an overview of search performance and key metrics, serving as the starting point for monitoring and managing search activity on your site. Through widgets, users can identify trends, monitor activity, and gain insights into how customers interact with search functionality:

  • Search index status: Displays the current status of the search index.
  • Overall performance: Combines speed, relevance, and usability scores to show the health of your ecommerce search experience. Learn more about overall performance.
  • Search response time: Tracks the average time it takes for searches to respond over the past 30 days. Understand search response time.
  • Findability score: Indicates how easily users locate relevant results. High scores reflect user engagement and completed actions, while low scores suggest areas for improvement. Learn about findability scores.
  • No product results (30 days): Highlights search terms that return no products, helping identify inventory gaps or irrelevant terms. Adjust settings, add products, or dismiss phrases to enhance performance. Explore no product results.
  • Popular searches last week: Displays the most-searched phrases from the past seven days, shown as a bar graph for trend analysis. Learn about popular searches.
  • Full search (30 days): Shows the frequency of full searches—queries submitted by users pressing "Enter." Includes filtered searches (e.g., by color or size). Read more about full search.
  • Quick search (30 days): Tracks usage of the quick search feature, where users see instant suggestions without pressing "Enter." Discover quick search metrics.
  • Browse search (30 days): Indicates the number of browse searches—users navigating product listings or categories. Learn about browse searches.

Some widgets include a "View list" option, allowing users to access detailed information for deeper analysis.

Among the updates are brand-new widgets like Full search, Quick search, and Browse search, offering insights into how users engage with the search functionality.

Better UI

The updated dashboard introduces a more intuitive and user-friendly design, making it easier to monitor search performance and key metrics. The new layout features streamlined navigation and enhanced visualizations, providing a clearer and more actionable overview of your data.

Widgets such as Findability score, No product results, Full search, Quick search, and Browse search now present trends and metrics more effectively, helping users quickly identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.

Snoozing irrelevant phrases

The updated dashboard introduces the Snoozed feature, a powerful tool for managing null results. For example, if the search term "Dresser" frequently appears in "No product results" but is irrelevant to your catalog, you can snooze it. Terms can be snoozed until a specific date or indefinitely, and you can easily reactivate them whenever needed. This feature helps streamline your data by temporarily hiding unimportant phrases, allowing you to concentrate on search terms that need attention or optimization.
