Search relevance

Search Relevance allows you to boost specific fields, which can return more relevant search results to your customers. Learn more in our documentation

Search Relevance is used to weigh how important a product field is when trying to match a search phrase. So in most cases a match in the product name or short description would be more important than a match in the long description.

Example - "Dress"

Customers are searching for "Dress" on your web shop, but the results are not accurate, and they get both dresses and pants on the search results. The customers complains, and now it's your job to make the search results more relevant.

You enter Bizzkit Search and try to look for dress. You quickly find out the reason for the lacking results is that "Product Name" is not set as a boosted field.

Example - "Dress"

You add “Product Name” field and set the boosting to high. Now when you try and search for “Dress”, they appear as the first result:

Example - "Dress" 2

Example - "Dress" 3
