Time based pricing
In Ecommerce Search it is possible to plan price changes ahead of time. This feature can be helpful when dealing with time based events like Black Friday or other campaigns, as we can set multiple prices with different validFrom
dates, meaning we can have a temporary reduced or raised prices for any custom duration of time.
Only setting one validFrom
date, will result in a price change with no end date. Not setting the validFrom
date will result in immediate price change. It is important to include a price that is currently active as well, if not the ingestion will be rejected.
These pricing changes can take effect on an hourly basis.
Planning price changes ahead of time means no need for last minute SKU ingestion changes right before activating a price change, it can simply be scheduled.
