Imagine words that mean the same thing in certain situations, like "pants", "trousers" and “jeans”. In Ecommerce Search, creating a Synonym is like telling the search tool that these words are buddies – if you search for one, it's like searching for all of them. Learn more
Example ”Pants = Trousers = Jeans”
If you create a synonym for "Pants" searching for either "Trousers" or "Jeans" will show results containing all. It is to make sure the search tool understands that these words are interchangeable in certain contexts.
How to create a Synonym
- Click the ‘+ Synonym’ button
- In the input field type the synonyms you want to add
- Click the ‘add’ button to save the synonyms
