How to use Mass Edit
Mass Edit is a feature in Bizzkit PIM that allows the user to edit product data directly on the product catalog page. For more information about the feature itself, you can read the Mass Edit concept article.
Product data editing functions
The main functionality of the Mass Edit feature is about editing products and their attribute values. The following functions are available:
Set an attribute value on a single product
- Open the Mass Edit view
- Find the attribute field you want to set
- Set a value for the attribute field on the right product
- Click
SAVE
for saving the change
Tip
Mass Edit keeps track of all unsaved changes by marking the changed attribute fields on products. By clicking the SAVE
button, all pending changes will be saved.
Set an attribute value on all products at once
- Open the Mass Edit view
- Find the attribute field you want to set
- Click the
+
-icon button on the attribute field column header - Set a value for the attribute field
- Click
SAVE
for saving the change
Copy attribute values from one to multiple products
- Open the Mass Edit view
- Find the attribute field you want to copy the value from
- Hover over the attribute field with your cursor, a handle appears on the field
- Drag the handle down or up, to mark the products you want to copy the value to
- Release the mouse button for applying the copy action
Set multi-valued attribute value on a single product
- Open the Mass Edit view
- Find the attribute field you want to set
- Click on the attribute field for the right product
- A popover appears
- Set a value using the available input field
- Click the
+ VALUES
button for adding multiple values and repeat step 5 to set values - Click the
DONE
button when all desired values have been added - Click
SAVE
for saving the change
Customize Mass Edit view
When working with Mass Edit, the view itself can be customized to the user's needs.
Note
Changes made to the Mass Edit view are remembered by the system only until the Mass Edit view has been closed. They won't reappear when opening the Mass Edit view at a later stage.
The following functions are available:
Pin a column
- Open the Mass Edit view
- Find the column you want to pin
- Click the context menu button
- Click the menu item
Pin column to the left side
- The column is now pinned to the left side of the view
Info
Pinned columns stay in the view, even when other columns are horizontally scrolled out of the view.
Change column order
- Open the Mass Edit view
- Find the column you want to move to a different position
- Hover over the column name, a drag cursor appears:
- Click and hold down the left mouse button, moving the column
- Move the column to the desired position and release the left mouse button
- The column is now placed on the new position
