User preferences
User preferences generally control the language of, and how dates and numbers are displayed in the UI . They are managed in the User Preferences page.
Culture
The Culture setting controls the format of dates and numbers when displayed in the UI.
If no culture has been chosen yet (in case of a new user), English is assumed.
UI Culture
The UI Culture setting controls the language of the UI which includes the language used for menu items, buttons, captions, and other UI components.
PIM comes with built-in support for English and Danish as UI Culture.
If no language has been chosen yet (in case of a new user), English is assumed.
Note
Cultural preferences are in no way related to translation cultures.
Display Timezone
The Display Timezone setting controls how date and time values are shown in the UI. Either UTC (default) or local/system time can be selected, and the following sections in PIM use the setting:
- Product (created date, last updated date, product filter, attribute history / change log)
PDateTimeattribute (product list column, attribute filter, attribute collection editor, mass edit)- Jobs (updated date)
